Lilly Broadcasting Stations Join Syncbak's Streaming Platform
Syncbak has announced the addition of Lilly Broadcasting to its streaming platform.
Firing up Elmira, New York-based affiliate WENY, Honolulu affiliate KITV, Erie, Pennsylvania-based WSEE's Erie News Now as well as Caribbean-based OCTV (known as One Caribbean Television) on Syncbak's direct-to-consumer OTT app, SBTV, local content from these stations is now available to viewers and advertisers nationwide. In addition, Syncbak has expanded its footprint with Honolulu-based affiliate KITV by also powering the station's website stream.
Syncbak powers over 12 million hours of live broadcast streaming annually to popular over-the-top viewer destinations such as CBS All Access, Hulu, Sony, Amazon, station apps and websites as well as its own consumer platform, SBTV. Known for its install once, deliver-to-many solution, Syncbak's core technology, SimpleSync, takes a single stream from the station and packages it for delivery to any OTT destination. The company's proprietary DAI solution, adSync, replaces traditional over-the-air ads with ads personalized to the viewer, in real time.
Launched in 2018, SBTV allows stations to deliver local programming to viewers nationwide. With SBTV, stations build over-the-top channels of live, previously aired and syndicated programming in markets they currently serve, and anywhere else in the US, if they have the content rights to do so.
"We understand the importance of providing our local station content to viewers on their terms; wherever and whenever they want to watch it," said Kevin Lilly, President of Lilly Broadcasting. "Syncbak's technology allows us to catch viewers going into and coming out of binge mode with our local news content, then keep them with programming like the Thunder at the Glen live stream this weekend and other fun, original programming on SBTV's marketplace," added Lilly.
"Lilly Broadcasting wants to reach viewers where they are, and that's over-the-top," said Jack Perry, founder & CEO of Syncbak. "Our SimpleSync technology allows them to streamline workflows and the cost associated with being available everywhere their viewers are, including nationwide on SBTV. I can't wait to see how we grow with them," added Perry.
